I bought Dr. Pen Ultima A6S on the recommendation of Women’s Concepts and since then I’ve been using it constantly. The results are amazing, I can see fewer visible scars and a much smoother feeling on my skin.

i got my dr. pen a week ago today. i used it on the same day that i got it and i had an amazing healing process. my skin was dry and flaky as it was healing which i know is normal, and only a WEEK later i noticed my acne scars are starting to lighten and disappear. i can’t wait to see the progress in my skin as the months go by! and i definitely do not regret getting this dr. pen m8 so far!

This microneedling pen is easy to use and effective. The website directions and videos are very helpful. I have only done one treatment and can tell there is a difference already. My skin has more glow to it and my pores are tiny!

I bought the A6, the silver and blue Dr. Pen. And it happens to be the same one the nurse practitioner used. I love it so far. Now if I can get PRP on my own, I will be set.

I received the pen two days ago and am excited to use it after the upcoming holiday weekend. I will update this review after I use it the first time. I have had micro needling in the past by an esthetician and now plan on doing it myself. I am a registered nurse so I’m pretty confident that I can successfully perform my own. Videos online have been helpful with technique.

This pen is spectacular! I used 5% Lidocaine numbing cream and there was little to no discomfort at all, I was able to achieve the pinpoint bleeding just like you should. Was just like an in office treatment!

I did my sisters needling and my needling & I am a licensed Esthetician. I do actually like this own much better then my FDA cleared Skin Pen brand. This one is lighter weight, has 6 different speeds & has a smaller tip in order to get into tight spaces around the eyes, nose & upper lip. 5 stars all the way!!

I received my pen quick . I completed my first treatment and it wasn’t really painful as expected it was very tolerable with numbing cream. This is day 3 and I already see some results on a 10 years old scar I have. I can’t wait to give myself another treatment to see how it approves the appearance of the scar & dark circles

I bought a A6s and was a bit apprehensive about possible down time after watching a gazillion YouTube videos. To my surprise this device is substantially effective! Very high quality and easy to use. I did my first session last nite on my face. I used a 16 pin cartridge and needled most of my face with HA at .50, cheeks and chin at .75 and orbital area and around lips at .25. No numming cream! It’s very tolerable. This morning my skin is so plump and the glow is incredible! My skin feels a bit tight as Expected, and is still a bit pink but I’m in love with that glow! My dermo wanted $500 for 1 session of Microneedling! Yikes! This is sooo affordable and works great! I bought nano cartridges and will be using those soon on my face and neck! I’ve used my M8 on my face, neck, and décolletage with ease. My pen worked exactly as described, worked very well. My only problem was not being able to see and select the depth dials without a microscope. The digital speed screen was bright and easy! Only had one treatment application to date but I am looking forward to seeing great results in my skin after a few more treatments. I am very happy with the quality of my M8 pen. Packages were torn open, I called customer service for exchange and or refund. Did not recieve neither and now I have torn open compromised cartridges that I van no longer use, sterile sealed broken

The thinner needles create micro channels with less trauma. The down time is much less than the old fashioned rollers and other derma needle pen brands. I’m so glad I found these. I only wish they had a body cartridge with these ultra sharp, thin needles. For now, I’m using this one for face and body. Thank you for a great and affordable product!

The product itself is top-notch and feels very heavy-duty (has a metal casing). I’ve been using the derma rollers, but this has been a huge improvement. I was planning on only using it for hair regrowth, but because of how easy and effective it is, I’ve expanded to using it on scars and wrinkles.

I only received the pen 2 days ago, but tried it with the nano needles and so far it feels pretty comparable to the Microneedling I’ve had done in the spas. I took it pretty easy for a first try, but get the impression if used judiciously with alcohol to clean and hyloronic acid as directed every 6 weeks or so, the results will be good which will save me money for other treatments I want at the spa. Overall I think its a great investment if you kinda know what you’re doing from previous treatments.

If you’re still using 36 needles….12 is the next level. It’s a little more painful but more effective per the experts. My skin soaks up my facial product after these treatments.

I purchased this product about 8 months ago. I’ve used it once a month and have definitely seen an improvement. I have oily skin, and acne scars. I use hyaluronic acid 1.5% with the needling usually at 1.5/2 in depth with the 12 point needle. I don’t use numbing cream but a glass of wine prior works just as well I’m sure lol. Usually I look sunburned the first 8 hours then it’s gets a little better. Overall I’m glad I bought this product and will continue this once a month.

Easy to use. Quality feel, fit and finish. Fast motor and single battery never drained even with a larger than average area micro needled. (Two batteries included) Very happy and highly recommended.

I have been using this for 2 months. I am 43 with dry skin, hyperpigmentation and sun damage. I needle between 0.5 and 2. On the 2 I only use on the parts of my cheek where my pigmentation is bad and I stamp on those parts. This pen is brilliant. I don’t bother using the numbing cream. I recommend using a High quality hyaluronic acid. To make the product go further and for extra slip and hydration I use the la Roche thermal water spray. When I first starting using this I went back to my original skincare after 24 hours and I developed awful looking blisters on my face. When you micro needle you just have to remember the simpler your skin care the best for recovery. For week after, I use my thermal spray, hyaluronic and collagen serum (which had vitamin c included) vitamin e oil and the moo goo msm cream is incredible. Also it’s very important also to make sure you are feeding the skin within by taking asorbic acid(vitamin c) and collagen. Since using this pen I have noticed a reduction in my pigmentation and it has made such a difference to my skin healt(face is soft and bouncy).. I just did my second treatment and am on day 5 and I have flakiness around the areas of where my hyperpigmentation. I also just love using this for nano needling weekly. Also I find your results are magnified when you use the Led light therapy straight after treatment. This alleviates redness and irritation. Also use it every day for 15 minutes after a shower. Before investing in one of these, I would suggest getting a treatment done professionally to see how your skin reacts but I would say personally I get as good as results doing it myself then going to a beauty therapist. However I will continue to go to my therapist to get mesotherapy treatments every now and then. I recommend getting this as a bundle.

I bought my Dr Pen M8 after doing a bit of research on you tube and deciding the M8 was the choice for me. The Dr Pen you tube videos were very informative and easy to follow. I have only used my M8 on a small section of my face as I’m a complete novice but already my skin feels different. I can’t wait to do a full face treatment and reap the rewards. It is easy to use and with the use of numbing cream, minimal discomfort is felt. I can’t wait to see the effects in a few months’ time. Highly recommend, even for the beginner.

Using a pen is a game changer. After using a derma roller for 6 months I can safely report – the pen is less painful and enables a quicker, more intense treatment with the ability to select needle depth based on area.

Using more serums during the needling sessions was also different.

Tip: You really need to position the pen at 90degrees to the face at all times as you move around the contours of the face. You dont need to press down.

As I worked I slowly increased the speed. I used the 4 speed on my cheeks but a 1-2 on my forehead.

Changing out the needle depth is easy but as the numbers are etched onto silver – it can be hard to read.

Twisting the battery onto charger I found a little challenging – the two parts twist onto each other / but I could not get them to screw into each other. I thought it was defective initially. The angle has to be absolutely perfect. Batteries didn’t come pre-charged so charge as soon as you get it if you want to try wireless.

The pen came with 2 x 16 needle cartridges. And my needling experience to date has been with these.

I have bought separately the Nano cartridges, 36- and 16-pins.

I look forward to trying it on the body and using BBGlow and other serums.

Easy to use and speedy delivery. I’ve only used it once but was happy with the M8. I intend to use it monthly. The only thing I’d warm people of is if you’re prone to cold sores avoid the upper lip area. Any trauma e.g laser or needling causes me to break out in a cold sore. I really like the device though and would recommend it.

The pen itself is great and I have used the Dermapen 3 personally, I think the M8 was definitely comparable and really powerful to use. On my skin it didn’t pull and the needle didn’t draw back any fluid. I do think the case is very dodgy in fact, I will need to purchase something to put it in as, I can’t even get it back into to its case properly. So, definitely the case could do with a little effort. But the pen is great and I think it will get you good results, it did me.

Efficient replacement process and amazing customer service. I thought it would be a difficult and time-consuming process due to previous negative experiences with one of the online customer service agent. I have been using A6 for a while and can see the results after a couple of times. Very happy with the products and replacement process this time.

Easily operated and super quick delivery

Had my first microneedling session with the 16pin cartilage and I love the results. I started at 0.5 and didn’t have to use numbing cream. Please note that the HA serum is not safe for deeper needling as it contains preservatives but for any other days its great. I recommend looking up Penn Smith microneedling protocol. Also make sure order extra cartiges at the time of purchase.

This is going to be very thorough as I was looking for this kind of a review before buying!
I hope this helps someone.

First off, when buying a cosmetic/medical device like this, I think it is extremely important for companies to mention whether or not their products are approved/certified in the country in which they are selling the products. So tick there for this company. The only down side to this I would say – it would be extremely helpful if you added what kind of needles are used (material/grade/diameter). I did ask about this, however I was not given an answer, so had to do a lot of research myself which left me with a few different answers. Having this available would have put my mind more at ease when purchasing.

Another key factor is it is Australian owned and operated – another tick for trust in regulation/safety and product quality. To anyone reading this – don’t buy products like this from ebay, aliexpress etc, make sure its a reputable site. (you never know who’s selling what on those sites)

It would also be good to state rpm for each speed setting. (I prefer the highest setting as it reduces pain, speeds up the process and prevents drag.

Another key factor I think, is giving some background as to where its made and how. (we all love knowing where our things come from and how they are made, especially with stuff like this!) This also was a question I couldn’t find an answer to.

When I received the product I inspected to see where it was made and tried to find mode info on the design/build process however also didn’t see anywhere on the packaging so this could be something to add.

Also noticed a “AU” sticker added to the box which was a bit weird, as you’d think this would be in the box design not added on, wasn’t the best look, and did make me worry a little. Usually genuine/upgraded or maintained products will not have stickers on them..

The rest of the packaging was very clean and nice. Plain and simple. The pen comes in a little bag shaped like a pen, this would have been nicer if it covered the tip as well however, to ensure cleanliness and security of the whole pen.

You receive 10 (36 needle cartridges) which I ordered separately, and 2 (16 needle cartridges) which are Disposable Sterile EO Gas, Non-Pyrogen needles.

I charged the pen for about 1.5 to 2 hours until it showed a green light. Before doing this treatment I had just done laser hair removal so decided to wait about a week before doing this. (For anything more evasive, I would have waited longer before doing this)

I used a numbing cream on my face, however I did go down my neck a little bit with the pen, where there was no numbness and didn’t feel much pain at all, so next time I might give it a go without. I think maybe the more needles and higher speed really helps with reducing pain. The pen depth is great and easy to adjust too. (just be careful when touching serum bottles/face/pen. Make sure all are sanitised and you’re not touching other stuff. Keep everything super super clean.

I would suggest not using this on areas with any congestion. I did have a spot on my chin which had been congested for a few days, and going over it with the pen definitely caused some irritation there, however it has slowly peeled and is subsiding. The rest of my face felt fine and is slowly beginning to peel.

I will say buying some isopropyl alcohol and making sure your working area/face/mirror/products etc are clean is a must. Also using gloves is important too. After the procedure also keep hands clean, don’t touch your face much and stay out of heat/steam

I used the clearskin hyaluronic acid serum to perform this treatment (45 dollars from priceline) as it is a mix of high and low molecular weight and has the least amount of ingredients (only three with the first two being water and hyaluronic acid and third being a safe binding agent). Was super easy to use however I did lose a fair bit of product into the cartridge, but that’s the price you pay I guess. Better to use a good quality serum than not.

After the procedure was complete I added nothing to my face and did nothing to my face besides wash off the excess serum. (Make sure you’re doing this on a Friday evening after work!) you will need to stay out of the sun for the first 48 hours.

The following day I used my LED mask on red (cleaned and sanitised it and my face before using it) and stuck to washing and moisturising my face with vC and nothing else. After 48 hours I went back to normal routine except avoided any acids/Exfoliants. (After 10 days I will go back to those)

Side note – I wanted to purchase the mask from this site too, however I was not given enough information at all about it, and the person I spoke to didn’t seem too educated on the product itself.. I was just given the same information that was provided on the page. It would have been great to know what kind of LED lights are used, the joules produced etc. I…

There were so many good reviews for Dr Pen I thought they must’ve been fake but now I’ve received my pen and I know why! I’m loving my m8 and will save thousands by doing my own needling! Just make sure you read up on needling and hygiene etc to needle safely!

I have only used once so far as recently purchased, however used on lighter less deep setting. The results have been brilliant and all those blocked lumpy pores have basically almost disappeared, even the ones I’ve had for a long time. Next time I will be braver and try on more intensive setting. I had minimal redness and minor peeling but that eliminated the clogged parts of my face!

I have been wanting to take the dive and purchase a microneedling pen for a while. I finally got the courage and decided to just do it and I even did my first session without numbing cream. I wouldnt reccomend that unless you have a high tolerance like me to pain but was well worth the sting! I have seen good results after 2 weeks and my skin is continuing to improve too. I love these cartridges for micro needling use on my face, neck, décolletage and hands. Normally I go 0.5 and this has reduced many signs of aging for me. Great with The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid. I reuse them twice before discarding being sure to disinfect upon opening the packet but also in between treatments. Natural Kaos on YouTube has been amazing to watch and learn from as well as Penn Smith also on YouTube. Do not regret going solo!

Excellent product for a less painful microneedling experience that works well with the Dr Pen M8 needling pen. I use this two or three times a week as an inbetween treatment to the the more aggressive monthly treatments I do with the 16 pin cartridges on the same pen. Great to treat around the eyes.

I am so pleased that I purchased this- I’ve been able to use it in the comfort of my home and have achieved the same result as in a clinic.

I’ve done 1 session and plan on doing many more over a long period of time. This pen is about the same price as one session, so you’ll get your money’s worth if you commit! Make sure you research online how to use it properly But otherwise it’s easy to do yourself.

I did a session with these at 0.5 to start resurfacing my skin and get things moving. At this depth, there was no blood for me and the serums soaked right in, I’m thinking that my skin was thirsty. 😀 It took about a day and a half after to start peeling. I have also been using this to lighten a lip blush tattoo that I got (and hate), it’s doing a fantastic job and only after 2 sessions combined with a copper peptide, it’s lots lighter!! VERY HAPPY!

Let me start by saying I bought a “genuine” A7 off Ebay about 2 years ago. It was obviously a cheaply made one NOT genuine at all. I actually threw it out as it was so inconsistent & depth varied on its own!

I decided to buy direct from the Dr Pen website as I had heard great things about their product & wanted a genuine Dr Pen that I could rely on.

The packaging is fantastic! Sturdy, moulded plastic storage case.

This pen feels so well built – quite heavy(in a quality way as opposed to a cumbersome way) & my goodness! Does it have some power or what!!??

I got this to promote collagen for my face & also to help scarring on my legs(variable depth is a godsend)

It did all the right things & my skin reacted exactly the way I expected it to.
I have had a derma pen treatment done at a skin clinic at 0.5 before & the difference between the feeling of their own & the M8 is nil.

There is less pain as a result of the finer needles – which is nice.

I used it on my face & scarring on my legs the night I received it & I am already seeing a huge difference in my scars! After one treatment. It hasn’t even been 2 weeks yet!

After using it at a 1.0 on my face, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin texture. And talk about product absorption!!! To know that the right ingredients(Nicinamide, Hyaluronic acid & Matrixyl 3000) were being absorbed straight into the dermis was exactly what I wanted to achieve. I don’t think I’ll ever stop being excited about using this pen. The only issue I’ve had is having to wait to use it again 🤣

I honestly can’t recommend this pen highly enough.

The product cost similar a session in a proper clinic, but now I can do it myself. when it comes to hygiene and infections like people say on the internet, it is tricky, even as a nurse myself. However, infection control can be managed and the result is just like the sessions I’ve had in the clinic, even better.

I’ve used the M8 pen only once so far and I can already see a huge difference in my skin’s texture. It’s definitely a lot more smoother now!! Love it!!

Iv only used it once, But it’s super easy to use. Far better then a roller, less irritation quicker healing time.

Just received my needling pen and its great. Solid, strong, charges super quickly and is nice to use. Cartridges fit well into the pen and securely. Different speeds and depth are excellent. Love the overall pen. One thing I would suggest is its very hard to read the needle depth values without either wearing glasses or in very bright light so my suggestion would be to enlarge the depth values numbers and darken the writing so it can be easily seen…..Overall love the pen and glad I purchased it. I have used it twice and love it. Also the customer service person who helped me sort out my order was very helpful. Thanks guys

Found this equipment to be fantastic, I have used other major brands as a trained therapist in salon treatments and it is exactly the same but at a fraction of the cost. However feel that consumers at home without training need more guidance on the frequency of use, how to use exactly not just circular motions 3 to 4 times and depth of the needle would be great. But other than the information it’s a great product highly recommend

Surprised it didn’t hurt more and I only bled on my stretch marks.
So far my skin in smoother but my acne scars are deep so i don’t expect them to entirely disappear in one treatment. My stretch marks already seem a little lighter though.
It was scary at first because I hate needles but once you start it’s easy to keep going.

After getting dermapen treatments at the skin clinic, this is the first time I have used my own dermapen. I was impressed at how little pain there was with the finer needles, compared to the clinic treatments. Also there was little downtime before the inflammation settled and my skin looked and felt normal. Time will tell regarding the quality of the pen, but independent reviewers were praising the pens quality and power, which is why I chose to buy this more expensive model. The cost of the pen however is significantly less than what I would spend on one skin clinic dermapen session in NZ.

Brought the new M8 for fine lines and wrinkles, I have used it once and I could tell the difference with my lines, not so deep and noticeable.
You do start peeling which is normal and the needles are very fine that I didn’t need numbing cream.

Sterile packaging, pen feels sturdy, everything is working fine so far. Also happy with the fast shipping! I’ve done 1 session with the 36 needles (bought in a separate pack) and 1 sesson using the 12 needle that the pen came with. I have to say the 12 needle pins were quite painful to use in comparison to the 36 needle. I read somewhere (not on the website unfortunately) that the 12 needles were more effective – if u can bear with the pain, longer down time and dry skin afterwards. I wish Dr Pen would provide more information on their website in regards to what needle type would be good to use and to what depth!

Tried it with nano cartrudge and needle cartridge and i loved both of them. Not as painful as I expected and healing was also quite quick. Second day I had a bit redness and that’s it. I’m sure i will get good results in few more times because I could see the difference even after the first time.
